^Lot 3093 WINCHESTER THIRD MODEL 1876 LEVER ACTION SADDLE

RING CARBINE. Cal. 45-60 WCF. S# 31022. Bbl. 22" carbine style. Fixed front sight with carbine leaf rear sight. Action has saddle ring on left side. Blue finish with case colored hammer and lever. Single band fastened full length walnut forearm and straight grip stock with steel carbine buttplate. Buttplate has an aftermarket style stippled gripping surface. Toeline of stock has a brass shield escutcheon with an apparent encircled "d" marking. Mfg. in 1882. CONDITION: nicely restored rifle retaining over 98% reblued finish. Hammer and lever have over 95% re-case colored finish. Bolt body and firing pin are polished white. Refinished stock and forearm show a few small marts. Sound action. Lightly pitted bore retains intact rifling. (01-28200/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,000-5,000.
